Relief palette art
The fascination of these relief-like originals is based on the interaction of physical matter and pure pigmentation. When preparing the canvases, I specifically use natural fillers such as fine marble dust, genuine natural sand, and heavy modeling pastes. These mineral components are applied in complex stages, forming a rugged surface full of cracks, valleys, and edges. As the fluid paint glides over these structures, it creates random patterns and a visual depth that cannot be compared to classic, flat canvas prints.
Light and shadow
A key feature of three-dimensional artworks is their continuous visual evolution in daily life. The pronounced relief reacts sensitively to any change in the surrounding illumination. The angle of natural sunlight in the morning produces completely different visual effects than targeted spotlighting in the evening. Due to the three-dimensional edges, the painting casts subtle, living shadows upon itself.
